Glen Moray Portwood 25yr 43% abv

Speyside


Nose: Oaky & sweet with Maraschino cherries prominent, then toffee and stewed plums


Palate: Spicy with a bourbon kick, then more stewed fruit with the port coming through nicely


Finish: Medium long with vanilla and lingering spice.


Comment: Yummy.







Talisker Port Ruighe nas 45.8% abv

Skye


Nose: Typical Talisker smoke & light peat with additional wine, honey & toffee notes


Palate: Nice peat & smoke influence with leather & chocolate


Finish: Medium long, spicy, drying, late sweetness











Glendronach Tawny Port Finish 15yr 46%

Speyside


Nose: Vanilla, orange rind, custard


Palate: Spice, pepper, vanilla, light oak


Finish: Medium long, winey, bit spicy with late honey sweetness













Bruichladdich 2003 Port Matured 7yr 46%

Islay


Nose: Sweet up front with light oak, wine, and honey


Palate: Chewy and sweet with lt oak and peppery


Finish: Medium with the pepper/spice notes and sweetness on the tail









Bowmore 1989 Portwood 23 yr 50.8% abv

Islay


Nose: Rich, smoky, and complex. Stewed plums, clack cherries, dark chocolate, with underlying smoke and brininess


Palate: Rich, smoky, and velvety layered with autumn fruits, spices & orange rind


Finish: Long & rich, warming, with smoke and dark chocolate


Comment: One not to miss if you love Bowmore!









Laphroaig Cairdeas 2013 Portwood nas

51.3% abv Islay


Nose: Sweet peat, menthol, medicinal, some wine notes


Palate: Smoke, oak tannins, bananas & plums


Finish: Long, spicy, sweet bourbon notes, drying, with a lingering smoking fire note












Linkwood 1982 26yr Portwood Finish

56.9%  Speyside


Nose: Fruity, orange rind, anise, light oak


Palate: Sharp spice, apples, pears


Finish: Long, orange, fruity, light port finish














Bowmore Voyage nas 56% abv Islay


Nose: Light & juicy, slight peat and a malty sweetness


Palate: Peatier than the nose, waves of oak, fruity with some spice and underlying peat


Finish: Medium long with some light peat

Nose: Bold & crisp with hops and citrus notes


Palate: Elegant citrus and rich caramel body


Finish: Short











Anderson Valley “Bourbon Barrel”

Stout 6.9% California


Nose: Woody with vanilla & toffee, late coffee notes


Palate: Chocolaty/coffee rich, roasted barley


Finish: Bold but short


Comment: Paired with Oreo cookies - fantastic!
