Royal Lochnager Distillers Edition nas 40% abv

Speyside


Nose: Nice vanilla with malty overtone and sweet


Palate: Fruity and smooth, creamy with the malt influence again


Finish: Soft & pleasant, cookie-like with a medium length finish










Glenmorangie Artein 15yr 46% abv

Highlands


Nose: Fruity, peaches, slightly malty, wine


Palate: Peach jam right up front with a tempered oak middle and spice


Finish: Medium long and sweet with that Glenmorangie spice on the tail.












Glen Garioch Founders Reserve nas 48% abv

Speyside


Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla and oak


Palate: Sweet, malty, vanilla


Finish:  Medium, oak, little spice











Old Ballantraun (peated) nas 50% abv


Nose: Young with fresh peat, light malt, chocolate


Palate: Creamy, soft, and a bit oily, malty cereal sweetness and peat


Finish: Asphalt, light smoke and peat with some late sweetness. Medium












Aberlour Warehouse No 1 Bourbon Cask #8941 Bottle 73 16yr 52.2%



Nose: Fresh oak with marzipan, pear and apple, vanilla


Palate: Creamy and smooth, bourbon comes through here, slight sweetness, stewed fruits


Finish: Long and warming, light oak, spice, drying slightly


Comment: Had to taste this one again, sigh! Can’t wait to taste the Sherry cask.




Bowmore Tempest Batch 2 nas 56%

Islay



Nose: Dry with signature Bowmore pat & smoke


Palate: Warm vanilla & oak, very coastal with slight lemon/citrus notes


Finish: Long & very clean, some peppermint, smooth

Widmer Brothers “Pitch Black IPA” 6.5%

OR


Nose: Malty with slight sweetness and some citrus notes


Palate: Rich, roasted malt and chocolate


Finish: Short & mild


Comment: A stout in IPA clothing








Great Divide 18th Anniversary “Wood Aged Double IPA” 10% CO


Nose: Green hops, very floral


Palate: Hops with a malty sweetness, well balanced


Finish: Medium, slightly bitter with oak on the tail







Shipyard “Smashed Pumpkin” 9%

ME


Nose: Light sweetness, spice, pumpkin (duh)


Palate: Nice light lager, sweet, good pumpkin/spice balance


Finish: Short









Uinta Brewing Co. Crooked Line “Oak Jacked Imperial Pumpkin” 10.3% Utah


Nose: Nice nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, and brown sugar


Palate: Bourbon and vanilla dance with the spice. Caramel, toffee, dark fruit, fresh pumpkin, and spice all come together nicely


Finish: Light, but there







Ommegang “Scythe & Sickle” Harvest Ale 5.8%

New York


Nose: Slightly hoppy with light malt notes


Palate: Creamy, with nice malt, little yeasty but balanced


Finish: Short
