This is the second release in the series. The first was “Thor”


Highland Park Loki 15 yr 48.7 abv

Orkney


Nose: Quickly into orange rinds, then lemon zest, ginger, licorice, all with underlying oak


Palate: Citrus and smoke dominate the front with clove, more citrus, relaxing into more licorice and some apple


Finish: Long and spicy, light vanilla notes with lingering smoke






Kilchoman Machir Bay nas 46% abv
Islay


Nose: The trademark peat and smoke rush in with sweet chocolate and citrus notes on the tail


Palate: Creamy and sweet, a bit chewy, hints of toffee and orange zest


Finish: Medium long & peppery with a little smoke & peat lingering in the background








Glenmorangie Ealanta 19 yr 46% abv

Highlands


Nose: Honeyed with vanilla and pineapple


Palate: Toffee, cloves, citrus, and fresh oak


Finish: Medium long with citrus again, a bit peppery, and late oak notes













Deanston Virgin Oak nas 46.3% abv

Southern Highlands


Nose: Sweet, malty, cereal & honey


Palate: Creamy & fresh, with continuing vanilla & honey notes


Finish: Medium long, spicy, with lingering sweet cereal notes












Hazelburn Sauternes 8 yr 55.9% abv

Lowland


Nose: Wow! Stewed fruit, fig, plum & toffee


Palate: Spicy with slight caramel and chewey toffee


Finish: Long and warming, spice, coffee, light smoke and late stewed fruit


Comment: A winner!









Bruichladdich Black Art 3.0 22 yr 50% abv

Islay


Nose: Vanilla, dark chocolate raisins, dates, honey, and wine


Palate: Port up front, stewed fruit, plum jam, honeyed, with underlying oak


Finish: Long, long, long, as with the dying fire lingers into the evening. One not to be quick with.

Southern Tier “Plum Noir” Imperial Porter 8% abv

NY


Nose:  Light toasted malt, stewed fruit


Palate: Plum, toasted malt again with caramel


Finish: Short, stewed fruit again, light coffee, caramel











Lavery Brewing Co “Belfast Black Ale” Smoked Porter 7.5% abv PA


Nose: Dark roasted malt, smokey


Palate: Malty, toffee coffee


Finish: Short, bit smokey with rounded malt on the tail











Shipyard ‘Monkey Fist” IPA 7.6% abv Maine


Nose: Sweet with citrus and hop notes


Palate: Grapefruit, piney, with a little sweetness


Finish: Short













Allagash ‘“Four Ale” 10% abv Maine

4 Hops, 4 Malts, Fermented 4 times


Nose: Citrus, orange, sweet, light hops


Palate: Caramel, sweet, citrus, nice malt/hop balance


Finish: Medium long with citrus and hop notes lingering
